At the start of a shoot there’s no knowing how it’s going to go. It’s a little terrifying and also quite exhilarating. No two family units are the same, and somehow every child brings with their free-range nature a unique telling of how they interact with their world. Every location, too, is a fresh canvas on which to layer all the direct and indistinct ways that a family connect with each other. I welcome these opportunities to encounter a new landscape, and to discover the best points of view that will light up their expressive love.
