Home Grown

Home sessions have a certain appeal for families who want intimate captures taken. A private space, and one that is your own, lends itself to a casual feel.
As if the photos are an afterthought to a chilled afternoon spent on the lawn.
The focus is less on the beauty of the surrounds and the quality of light, and more about documenting a scene in the life of loved ones. It’s always important to me to explain this difference to people because, while a lot of people think a hydrangea bush makes for a pretty backdrop, these garden sessions are not a partnership of light and beauty, but a focus that is squarely and tightly rested on organic moments of connection.
