I am always seeking out the authentic moments of family connection. Young children make that happen organically because, ironically, their unpredictable nature creates a lot of natural expression. When parents are focussed on their kids they are unaware of themselves and it becomes easier to tap into the personality of the family unit. When kids are small there is a tendency for parents to delay these shoots, waiting instead for it to be ‘easier’ and the kids to be more manageable for the stand-and-smile moments. There is no right or wrong time for these records of your life. Every season of life brings with it new discovery and a fresh appreciation for its changing nature.
