It was during the entrenched years of being a new mom and the ensuing (and interchangeable) wonder and bewilderment of rearing two tiny children that I fell in love with the captured moment and, by extension, documenting my way through various scenes of my children growing up. Hyper aware of the swift and changing nature of time, it became important to me to record moments that I would want to be able to recall as the years passed by. This is why I started offering mini sessions with moms during the month of Mothers Day. I have been doing these mommy and me shoots for as long as I have been taking photos. It is an integral part of what makes me a passionate photographer. It is powerful to feel the love, and to know the love, of a mother. Being able to capture this bond bears testimony to the significance and privilege of this connection that we all need to be reminded of.
