Some photo shoots stay with me long after they have passed. This was one of those times.
A beautiful location paired with a light infused afternoon was a great starting point. But it takes people for the real magic to happen. And when the photos are inspired by a family reunion, it is one more reminder to me to slow down for the big picture. The big picture isn’t only the wide angle featuring the family groupings, it’s the pause in the race to get every sunlit personal best angle of beauty and backdrop. It’s being absolutely present to the unfolding moments of loved ones being together in deference of a future that cannot certainly bring them together again, or soon. That’s why memories like this mean so much.
